The National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC) and the volunteer organization Plastic Free have officially signed a new Collaboration Agreement. This partnership aims to establish a direct channel of communication between the two entities, uniting their forces to protect the planet from plastic pollution.

NBFC, committed to the conservation, restoration, monitoring, and valorization of Italian and Mediterranean biodiversity, recognizes the critical importance of preserving ecosystems from the damage caused by plastic waste. Through this agreement, both parties pledge to provide mutual visibility to their respective missions, collaborate on public initiatives, and share opportunities in the fields of research and innovation.

The agreement was signed in Milan on December 1, 2025, by the President and Legal Representative of NBFC, Luigi Fiorentino, and the President of Plastic Free, Luca De Gaetano.
