About the event

The National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC), in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada to Italy and APRE – Agency for the Promotion of European Research, is organising an online networking event aimed at strengthening research and innovation cooperation between Italy and Canada in the field of biodiversity.

Building on Canada’s association to Pillar II of Horizon Europe, the event will bring together the NBFC research community and network with Canadian universities, research organisations and relevant stakeholders interested in developing joint research and innovation initiatives.

The session will showcase biodiversity-related expertise, research capabilities and networks on both sides, while providing an overview of the main opportunities expected under the Horizon Europe 2027 calls.

The event is designed as a first step towards identifying areas of mutual interest, creating new connections between Italian and Canadian organisations, and fostering the development of future collaborative projects and competitive Horizon Europe proposals.
